This item will be shipped bare root or in original plastic pots, whichever is better for the plant. We handpick to order and make sure all are healthy plants before shipping.

Gymnocalycium horstii is a popular and attractive globular cactus native to Argentina. It features a rounded, slightly flattened body with pronounced ribs and a distinctive pattern of tubercles along each rib. The plant’s surface is typically smooth with subtle, curved spines that range in color from pale brown to gray.

During the growing season, Gymnocalycium horstii produces beautiful, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pale pink to white, often with darker pink centers. These blooms appear near the apex and add a delicate touch to the plant’s overall appearance.

Care Requirements:

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight to partial shade. Avoid harsh midday sun to prevent scorching.
• Water: Water moderately during the growing season, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during winter dormancy.
